United States prosecutors have signaled they’ll drop a cost in opposition to FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried, which had alleged he conspired to make illegal marketing campaign contributions.
In a July 26 letter to District Court docket Decide Lewis Kaplan, U.S. Legal professional Damian Williams stated the federal government was knowledgeable by The Bahamas that it didn’t comply with extradite Bankman-Fried on the cost and prosecutors wouldn’t carry it ahead to trial.

Bankman-Fried beforehand contested the cost saying it was made after his extradition from The Bahamas and was not a part of the unique settlement.
