I reviewed this after just a few months
So in February, Ordinal Inscriptions had a big impact on blockchain knowledge measurement. This impact appears to be diminishing. Initially there was little affect on numbers of transactions, however this has grown in late April. I thjink there was a transition in Ordinals Inscriptions from “artwork” NFTs, a few of which have been massive, to BRC-20 tokens – that are largely small – round 50 bytes of JSON.
There have been lower than 100 inscriptions once I requested the query. There are actually effectively over 2,500,000 inscriptions.
